How to use

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF image.
  2. Pick a preset or set rows and columns (1–10), and optionally crop to a centered square.
  3. Click Split image, then download single tiles or all tiles as a ZIP.

Example

A 3000 × 3000 px photo with the 3 × 3 preset → 9 tiles of 1000 × 1000 px named photo-r1-c1.png … photo-r3-c3.png.

Details and limitations

Splitting runs in your browser at the original resolution; the image is not uploaded. When the size does not divide evenly, tiles differ by at most 1 pixel.

Instagram shows the newest post first, so for a profile grid upload the tiles in reverse order: r3-c3 first and r1-c1 last.

FAQ

How do I make an Instagram grid from one photo?

Choose the 3 × 3 Instagram grid preset, which also crops the photo to a centered square, split it and download the ZIP. Post the tiles from the last (r3-c3) to the first (r1-c1).

Can I split an image into 2 or 3 equal parts?

Yes. Use 1 row × 2 or 3 columns for side-by-side parts, or 2 or 3 rows × 1 column for stacked parts.

Which format should I export?

PNG keeps the tiles lossless and preserves transparency. JPG gives smaller files; transparent areas become white.
