How to use

- Pick the position, format, start number, size, color and the pages to number; the preview shows the first numbered page.
- Select Add page numbers, then download the new PDF.
Example
A 12-page report with a cover: pages 2-12, start at 1, bottom center → the cover stays blank and the next page shows 1.
Details and limitations
Numbers are placed relative to the visible page area, so they appear upright and inside the page even on rotated or cropped pages. The “of N” total is the last number printed.
Latin labels are written as real, selectable PDF text in Helvetica. Labels in other scripts, such as a translated “Page” word, are drawn as a high-resolution image instead.
FAQ
How do I add page numbers to a PDF but skip the cover page?
Select Skip the first page (or enter 2-12, for example). The first listed page gets the start number, so the page after the cover can show 1.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is read and saved by JavaScript in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
Can I number a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Remove the password with the Unlock PDF tool first, then add the page numbers.
