Word to PDF Converter — DOCX to PDF in Your Browser
Convert a Word .docx file to PDF without uploading it. Headings, lists, tables, links and images are kept as selectable text; add page numbers or a password.
Convert in your browser · No sign-up
One .docx file · up to 20 MB · converted on your device
The PDF keeps the document's structure — headings, paragraphs, bold and italic, lists, tables, links and images — but not Word's exact layout: fonts, colors, columns, headers and footers, and the original page breaks are not reproduced.
How to use
- Choose or drop a .docx file; it is converted in your browser and shown at page width.
- Pick paper size, orientation, margins, page numbers, and optionally a watermark or a password.
- Select Download PDF to save the converted document.
Example
report.docx with a heading, a bulleted list, a table and a chart image → report.pdf with the same headings, list, table and image as selectable text.
Details and limitations
Conversion uses the open-source mammoth library, which maps Word styles to clean HTML. Heading styles become headings and Word numbering becomes lists; footnotes move to the end, text boxes are placed inline, comments are left out and tracked changes appear as accepted.
Chinese, Japanese and Korean text is embedded with Noto fonts. Arabic and Hebrew cannot be laid out in this export yet, so the print dialog is offered instead.
FAQ
Is my Word document uploaded to a server?
No. The .docx file is read and converted in your browser tab. Only font files are downloaded from Google Fonts the first time you export.
Why does my PDF look different from the document in Word?
This converter rebuilds the content as a clean web layout instead of copying Word's page design. For a pixel-exact copy, use Word's own File › Save as PDF.
Can I convert an old .doc file?
Not directly. Save it as .docx in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs, then open the .docx here.
