02View settings
STL stores no unit. Select the unit used by the source model; this labels coordinates without converting or rescaling them.

Choose an STL file or try the sample. Dimensions and mesh checks will appear beside the interactive preview.
How to use
- Open a binary or ASCII STL file, or try the sample model.
- Choose the source model’s unit. Rotate the view, switch direction, zoom and show edges.
- Read dimensions, surface area and mesh checks. Save the current view as a PNG.
Example
The included 40 × 30 × 20 block has 12 triangles, surface area 5,200 square units and volume 24,000 cubic units.
Details and limitations
STL has no stored length unit. Unit selection changes the labels, not the coordinate values.
A volume estimate is withheld when the mesh is open, non-manifold, inconsistently oriented, degenerate or has multiple connected components.
FAQ
Does this check guarantee a watertight printable model?
No. Edge and triangle checks are useful diagnostics, but do not test self-intersections, vertex manifoldness, minimum wall thickness or printer constraints. Use a slicer for print preparation.
Can I edit or repair the STL?
This tool is a viewer and measurement helper. It does not repair, slice or modify the STL.
Are STL files uploaded?
No. Parsing, measurements, mesh checks, rendering and screenshot export run in your browser.
