Details and limitations
Each flip is a 50/50 draw from your browser's cryptographic random number generator; the coin is decided before the animation starts. Nothing is uploaded.
If your system asks for reduced motion, the result shows instantly without the flip animation. Stats reset when you reload the page.
FAQ
Is this coin flip 50/50?
Yes. Each flip uses crypto.getRandomValues to pick heads or tails with equal probability, independently of earlier flips. It is not certified for regulated use, but there is no built-in bias.
Why do I get long streaks of heads or tails?
Streaks are normal in random sequences. In 100 fair flips the longest run is often 5 to 7 in a row, which you can check with the “flip many” option.
Can I flip a coin 100 or 1,000 times?
Yes. Enter the number of flips (up to 1,000) in the “Flip many coins at once” box to get the heads and tails counts, percentages and the longest streak.
