How to use

Details and limitations
Winners are drawn without repeats in a single draw, and teams differ in size by at most one person. Which team gets an extra member is also random.
Results come from your browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), with rejection sampling so every outcome has the same chance. Nothing is uploaded.
FAQ
How do I pick multiple random names at once without repeats?
Set “How many to pick” to the number you need and click Pick names. All winners are drawn together, so one name can never appear twice. Turn on “Remove picked names” if later draws should skip them too.
How does the random team generator split an uneven number of people?
Names are shuffled and dealt to teams in turn, so team sizes differ by at most one. For example, 10 names in 3 teams gives sizes 4, 3 and 3, and the team that gets 4 is chosen at random.
Are the names I paste stored anywhere?
No. The list stays in this page in your browser and is not uploaded or saved; reloading the page resets it.
