How to use
- Choose the barcode type.
- Enter the value; for EAN and UPC you can leave out the check digit.
- Adjust bar width, height and text, then download PNG or SVG.
Example
EAN-13: 590123412345 → 5901234123457 (check digit 7 added)
Details and limitations
EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF-14 check digits are calculated when omitted and verified when entered, so typing errors are caught before printing.
SVG stays sharp at any size; the PNG is rendered at 3× for printing. Keep the white margin (quiet zone) around the bars. Barcodes are created with JsBarcode in your browser.
FAQ
Can I use these barcodes on products I sell in stores?
The generator can encode any valid number, but retail EAN/UPC numbers must be assigned by GS1 to your company. For internal stock labels, Code 128 with your own codes works without registration.
Which type should I choose?
EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products, ITF-14 for shipping cartons, Code 128 for internal labels and shipping, Code 39 for older industrial systems.
