Code (Go)

Ctrl/⌘ + Enter to run

input() and io.read() read these lines in order.

Output

Code runs locally in your browser; it is not uploaded.

How to use

  1. Write or paste a Go program with package main and func main.
  2. Optional: type lines for fmt.Scan or bufio in the input box.
  3. Press Run (or Ctrl/⌘ + Enter) to see the output.

Example

// Go example
package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
	for _, name := range []string{"Ada", "Alan"} {
		fmt.Printf("Hello, %s!\n", name)
	}

	sum := 0
	for i := 1; i <= 100; i++ {
		sum += i
	}
	fmt.Println("Sum of 1 to 100:", sum)
}

Details and limitations

Go runs via Yaegi, a Go interpreter compiled to WebAssembly. The runtime (several MB) downloads on the first run and is cached afterwards.

Each run stops after 10 seconds. Only the standard library is available; third-party modules cannot be imported.

FAQ

Is this the official Go compiler?

No. It is Yaegi, a Go interpreter. Most programs behave the same, but a few advanced features, such as cgo, some reflection or generics edge cases and goroutine timing, may differ.

How do I read input?

Type values in the input box. fmt.Scan, or a bufio.Scanner reading os.Stdin, reads them in order.

Is my code uploaded to a server?

No. Your code runs entirely in your browser. Only the Go runtime is downloaded from a public CDN (jsDelivr) on first use.
