Szczegóły i ograniczenia

The winner is drawn with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel starts moving; the animation then stops on that slice. Each slice has an equal chance, and duplicate lines count as separate slices.

Your entries are saved only in this browser's local storage so they are still there next time. If you prefer reduced motion in your system settings, the result appears instantly without spinning.

FAQ

Is the spin the wheel result really random?

The winner is chosen with crypto.getRandomValues, the random generator browsers provide for security uses, using rejection sampling so no entry is favoured. The tool is not independently audited or certified, so do not use it where a legally certified draw is required.

How do I give one option a higher chance?

Add the same option on more than one line. Every line becomes its own slice, so an option listed twice is twice as likely to win.

Can I pick several winners without repeats?

Yes. Turn on “Remove winner after each spin” and spin again; each winner is removed from the list after it is announced. The results list keeps every winner of this session.

Can I share my wheel with someone?

Yes. Click “Copy share link”. The entries and the “Remove winner” setting are encoded in the part of the link after #, which browsers do not send to our server, so nothing is stored online. Very long wheels may not fit in a link.

Can the wheel be rigged?

The winner is picked with your browser's crypto.getRandomValues before the animation starts, and every slice has the same chance. The only way to change the odds is to add an entry more than once, which shows up as extra slices that everyone can see.

How do I remove the winner after each spin?

Turn on “Remove winner after each spin”. After the result is announced, that line is deleted from the list, so the next spin only picks from the remaining entries.

How many entries can the wheel have?

Between 2 and 100 entries, one per line, each up to 200 characters. With many entries the labels on the slices are shortened, but the full winner is shown under the wheel.

Does the wheel work on a phone or offline?

It works in mobile browsers. Once the page has loaded, spinning happens entirely in your browser and needs no connection, but reloading the page does.
