Invert image colors — create a negative PNG

Invert the red, green and blue channels of a photo while preserving transparency. Preview a color negative and download the PNG without uploading.

Nel browser · Senza registrazione

One static JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF · up to 20 MB and 24 megapixels

Come si usa

  1. Choose a static JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF image.
  2. Apply the inversion and inspect the result preview.
  3. Download the PNG. Reopen the original file whenever you need an unchanged source.

Esempio

RGB (20, 80, 200) → (235, 175, 55). Black becomes white and white becomes black; alpha is unchanged.

Dettagli e limiti

Each color channel becomes 255 minus its original value in the browser-decoded pixel data. Image width, height and alpha are unchanged.

This is color inversion, not left-right mirroring, color correction or film scanning. Semi-transparent pixels remain semi-transparent. PNG export does not preserve the original metadata.

FAQ

Does inversion remove a background?

No. An opaque background stays opaque and changes color. Existing transparent areas retain their alpha values.
